Paris Center, year 2017. A resident proposes in the participatory budget to redevelop and secure part of rue de Richelieu, which connects the grand boulevards to Place André-Malraux in front of the Comédie Française, between the 1st and 2nd arrondissements. Due to a lack of agreement between the town halls of the two districts before the creation of Paris Centre, the proposal, although accepted, is not moving forward.
It will be necessary to wait almost seven years for the idea to result in something more concrete: Wednesday March 27, during a public meeting, the residents of the neighborhood were presented with this “very ambitious project for pedestrians, cyclists and buses”, in the words of Christophe Najdovski, deputy mayor of Paris in charge of the greening of public spaces.
