Samsung had anticipated it in recent weeks and today brings Galaxy AI artificial intelligence to smartphones and tablets launched last year. Samsung had anticipated it in recent weeks and today brings Galaxy AI artificial intelligence to smartphones and tablets launched last year.

The One Ui 6.1 interface update is also already available in Italy, which introduces the company's generative AI for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone series as well as the Galaxy S9 Tab.

In view of the expansion of the audience that will be able to use AI, Tm Roh, president of Mobile eXperience Business, underlined: "our goal with Galaxy AI is not only to pave the way for a new era of mobile artificial intelligence, but empower users by making AI more accessible."

No longer exclusive to the S24 family, Galaxy AI allows you to change the way you use many apps, including calling and writing messages. With "live translation", for example, it is possible to translate an audio phone call in real time, displaying the text of an interlocutor on the screen, already in your own language.

Similar operation for the translation of chats and text files, the latter using the Notes application. In collaboration with Google there is "circle and search", also present on Pixel smartphones, to highlight any content on the screen and search for it online, using generative AI. Generative editing in photos allows users to remove objects, resize them, or even manipulate the background in their images, even old ones, to achieve a new result.

As previously indicated by Samsung, Galaxy AI will remain free until 2025, with the possibility that it will subsequently become a paid service, at least for the most advanced features.
