The rumor has been circulating for several days, it is now official: senator (LR) Francis Szpiner is leaving the Changer Paris group, where Rachida Dati sits. Faced with what he describes as a “detestable political spectacle” on the part of his former benchmate who became Minister of Culture in the Attal government, he created his own group at the Paris Council, “Les Républicains et Centristes – Demain Paris!” », he announces in an interview with our colleagues from Le Figaro.
“Rachida Dati is campaigning against the LR candidate in the European elections, even though it is an important deadline for the right. In politics, you have to be responsible and have a bit of morality. You don't sell out your beliefs. [...] It is hardly surprising that people are turning to populist parties,” argues Francis Szpiner.
