The promotion is beautiful but poisonous. Have you ever noticed that women often access key positions or prestigious missions when the risk of failure is highest? When things are going badly (low results, unfavorable environment, etc.), perspectives suddenly open up to them. This is what we call “the glass cliff”.
The more difficult the challenge is to overcome, the more “chances” they have of being called to the top of the hierarchy. Result: it is they who will have to assume the consequences of an almost announced shipwreck. There is no shortage of cases of women propelled to the edge of the glass cliff.
