Hundreds of mayors and regional councils unanimously elected the leading local government leaders. Haim Bivas was elected to a third term as chairman of the local government center. Shai Hajj for a second term as chairman of the regional government center. The mayor of Netanya, Miriam Fierberg Icher, was elected to the position of chairman of the general assembly.

Along with the lack of trust and stability of the central government, the local government continues to maintain resilience, stability and national responsibility, in two different votes, the heads of local authorities from all over the country unanimously approved the election of Haim Bibbs, Mayor of Modi'in-Maccabim-Reot for the position of Chairman of the Local Government Center for another term.

Haim Bibbs, Chairman of the Local Government Center:

"Over the past five years, we have proven that the local government is the most stable and influential body on the lives of the citizens of Israel. We worked together for the residents , heads of authorities from all the sectors that make up the mosaic of Israeli society, and we will continue to do so. We have significant challenges ahead of us in the coming term. I thank the heads of authorities for the expression of trust and am convinced that we will know how to work together in the next five years to lead the local authorities and receive additional powers that will allow us to improve further more the service to the residents.

Shay Hajjaj Chairman of the Regional Government Center

: "I would like to thank all the heads of councils and heads of councils for their great trust and support. We will continue to work for the development and strengthening of the regional councils, which are all agricultural, guarding the borders and the land. We have big challenges, especially at this time. We are busy with the work of restoration. And I hope that the heavy national disaster on 7.10 and the damned war will guide and guide us to unity, mutual guarantee and respectful discourse, which we so badly need - because this is the basis of revival."

Miriam Fierberg-Icher, Mayor of Netanya: "I am grateful for the trust that the mayors continue to place in me and for my election as the chairman of the general assembly that unites all the heads of local authorities. As is well known, the local government is the residents' direct connection with the central authority and in times of crisis, it is the one that manages to meet the challenges of Israeli society in an efficient and fast manner, as happened with the outbreak of the war. In the end, the one who comes in personal contact with the residents and in reality, the one who always stands up, helps and faces all the challenges is the local government. From here we are required to continue to play the central role in leading the country and building unity between all sections of the people and of course continue to care for the residents and their safety. Hoping for better days and for the return of the abducted, everyone came home safely!
