A real breath of fresh air for thousands of residents of Gargenville and Issou. The Yvelines prefecture has just issued an order to limit the circulation of certain trucks on the D190, a busy departmental road which runs alongside the Vexin regional natural park.

Only heavy goods vehicles heading to the Guitrancourt quarry are targeted: they are responsible for filling the immense “hole” of around a hundred hectares caused by the extraction of limestone for decades in this region of northern Yvelines.
