Highlights: “A really nice Easter’: family happiness with King Harald and Princess Mette-Marit. “The royal couple and the crown prince family gathered in the royal palace on Bygdø at the beginning of Easter week,” explains the family. The royal family had a lot of fun at the photo shoot, even the future heir to the throne Sverre Magnus looks satisfied, since he usually doesn't miss an opportunity to make provocative or funny grimaces or gestures.

The last official greeting on Instagram went completely wrong. Now the whole family beams even happier into the camera.

Oslo - The fragile state of health of Mette-Marit (50) from Norway meant that the official Christmas greeting on Instagram unfortunately had to be sent without the Crown Princess. Afterwards, King Harald (87) abruptly ended his vacation and his subsequent hospital stays kept the world in suspense. It's even nicer now to see the whole family united in their early Easter greeting.

With King Harald and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, the assembled family beams for the Easter greeting

“The royal family wishes everyone a really nice Easter. The royal couple and the crown prince family gathered in the royal palace on Bygdø at the beginning of Easter week,” explains the family. The head of the Norwegians shows a radiant smile from ear to ear. Queen Sonja (86) next to him leans slightly towards him, behind the royal couple are Prince Sverre Magnus (18), Princess Ingrid Alexandra (20), Crown Princess Mette-Marit (50) and Crown Prince Haakon (50).

Crown Princess Mette-Marit also looks happy and her eyes show a little mischievous glimmer that hasn't found its way into official photos for a long time. Apparently the royal family had a lot of fun at the photo shoot, even the future heir to the throne Sverre Magnus looks satisfied, which is saying a lot, since he usually doesn't miss an opportunity to make provocative or funny grimaces or gestures.

For Mette-Marit, the corona disease was particularly tragic due to her existing pulmonary fibrosis. There was great concern about the popular heir to the throne. When the palace was finally able to announce the Crown Princess's first appearances, there was huge relief.

In mid-March, King Harald V had to have a permanent pacemaker inserted. The procedure became necessary after the regent contracted a serious infection during a trip to Malaysia. “When a person of his age gets an infection, it is always a serious matter,” Harald’s personal physician Bjørn Bendz recalled the seriousness of the situation at a press conference after the operation. Nevertheless, King Harald of Norway had to break with a long-standing tradition at Easter.
