Alexander Lukashenko announces consequences for NATO. The Putin ally left no doubt about what to expect in the event of border violations.
Minsk - Vladimir Putin's closest ally, Alexander Lukashenko, has made a clear threat to NATO. The ruler in Minsk made it clear that Belarus would take military action if the country's border was violated during the exercises that the military alliance was also holding in the region until the end of May.

However, Muzyka noted that the deployed Belarusian forces “did not have the capabilities to pose a serious military threat to NATO members.”
Russia's ally Belarus is increasingly using aggressive rhetoric towards NATO
However, Minsk's rhetoric towards NATO is becoming increasingly aggressive. Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said in February that the Belarusian military would shoot down any aircraft that entered its airspace. Lukashenko's threat towards NATO comes in the wake of another statement in recent days that caused a stir after the devastating IS attack near Moscow.
