An American school bus caused a stir on Federal Highway 23 near Oberau. Officials from the Weilheim traffic police station stopped the unusual vehicle and were able to identify violations of road traffic registration regulations.
Oberau - Last Saturday, March 23rd, officers from the Weilheim traffic police station noticed an unusual vehicle on Federal Highway 23 in the Oberau municipality around 4:15 p.m.: an American school bus. Given the rarity of such a vehicle on German roads, the officers decided to conduct a traffic stop.
During the inspection, the traffic police experts quickly discovered that the bus had several violations of the StVZO. In addition to safety-related defects, they also criticized the vehicle's entire lighting equipment. The driver, a 47-year-old man from the Augsburg district, was not allowed to continue driving south and the vehicle was temporarily impounded.
The school bus was taken to a technical inspection center for a detailed examination. The initial suspicions were confirmed there.
