The new national and European funds portal of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (Cdp) is active, through which it is possible to access the services that Cdp manages on behalf of the ministries, starting from the submission of applications to obtain the resources aimed at increasing the number of places bed for university students, in line with the objectives of the Pnrr (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), according to which there should be 60,000 more homes by 2026.
In detail, public and private entities through the application made available of Cassa in support of the Ministry of University and Research can register and request contributions to create accommodation for those studying in universities on the Peninsula. The portal, in a simple way, allows those interested in the initiative to be able to calculate, thanks to an 'ad hoc' digital simulator, the hypothetical average tariff applicable to the university residence; significant element, since the reform establishes a contribution for the manager commensurate with the number of beds that will be made available by 30 June 2026. The contribution is recognized upon the application of reduced tariffs, compared to the average market value of the places bed offered to university students.
The initiative is part of Cdp's activities for support and technical assistance in favor of the ministry, which manages the university housing reform fund, subsidized within the framework of the Pnrr with a total amount of 1.2 billion.
