The relationship expert estimates: “This will undoubtedly be a difficult time for Prince William. When people close to you are sick, you typically lean on your family for comfort and strength. However, in William's case, his main sources of support are conflict." He has his own big problems - his father is battling cancer and his wife has also been diagnosed with cancer. Therefore, he will likely feel the need to primarily give strength and support to his loved ones rather than receive it from them.
Royal biographer Tina Brown even speaks of anxiety in the “CBS Mornings” interview. “Whatever the prognosis is for Charles, he is 75 and has cancer,” Brown said. “This brings William and Kate much closer to the throne. I was told that this caused them great fear.”
Estranged Prince Harry won't be any help either because Prince William can't trust his brother. It is possible that this could increase William's feelings of isolation and loneliness. At the same time, great hardship can bring people together again and it could be that Harry is just as willing, the expert also points out a possible positive aspect.
