Schools have been under pressure for several days, with a series of attack threats. If until now, the bomb threats have proven to be false, the principals of middle and high schools are increasing their vigilance. And Friday morning, at Albert-Camus college in Brunoy, a 15-year-old student was surprised in the courtyard with a knife.
It was around 8:50 a.m. when the college management alerted the prosecutor's office. A student, until now unknown to the police, crossed the gates of the establishment with a bladed weapon and allegedly had images and videos of a terrorist nature on his phone, along with those of other teenagers.
Computer equipment seized
The teenager was placed in police custody for “prohibited carrying of a weapon” until this Saturday morning, when he was brought before the children's judge, who placed him under judicial supervision as part of this procedure . As for the phone, it would have been reset to factory status, according to what the police observed.
The police nevertheless seized computer equipment during the search and a separate investigation was opened for “apology of terrorism” in order to corroborate or rule out suspicions and especially to hear from other adolescents.
After the hacking of their digital workspaces (ENT) in which threats and bomb threats are circulating, school directors must be extra vigilant. Faced with the terrorist threat, on March 22, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced that the Vigipirate plan was being raised to the “emergency attack” level, i.e. maximum alert.
