The damage amounts, at a minimum, to several tens of thousands of euros. Dozens of construction tools were stolen this Friday in Colombes, near the premises of the Ile-de-France public sanitation development service (SIAAP).
It is difficult to say, for the moment, the precise time at which the theft was committed on this site located on Boulevard Louis-Seguin, a long one-way artery wedged between the Seine and the A86 motorway. “It was a security agent who noticed the break-in during his rounds shortly before 6 a.m.,” specifies a police source. The doors of several containers belonging to subcontracting companies were broken. »
Well-informed criminals
The containers were found partly empty. The criminal(s), clearly well informed, left with a veritable stock of construction tools consisting of drills, grinders, grinders, screwdrivers, jigsaws, perforators as well as around ten towers of electrical cables. According to initial estimates, the damage would amount to nearly €100,000.
Examining the video surveillance tapes from the SIAPP site will undoubtedly allow the police officers from the Colombes police station, in charge of the investigation, to find out more about the modus operandi of the thief(s). A site manager was expected this Saturday morning to file a complaint and entrust investigators with the surveillance camera recordings.
