Fish that were examined in the laboratory were classified as “slightly putrid”, “fishy” and “musty”. The food inspectors also found an increased number of germs.

“These are indicators that point to inadequate personnel or operational hygiene as well as improper or too long storage of the products,” the report states. But not only the food itself, but also the premises were examined more closely. The verdict – also frightening: large areas of mold were found in the cold storage room. “The floor under the shelves was heavily contaminated with food residue, mold deposits and slimy, brownish-yellowish contamination,” the experts stated.

The statement continues: “In this unfortunate individual case, one must clearly speak of human error; personnel consequences have already been drawn and a new operations manager has been hired. In addition, all defects were addressed immediately, i.e. H. eliminated on the same day after discovery.
