Under the Parisian sleet, on this Saturday morning, the umbrellas are out. The rainy weather of March does not, however, discourage tourists, many of whom wander around Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral (4th arrondissement) this Easter weekend. Restaurants and souvenir shops are full. However, not many people seem to notice the tags that have appeared in recent hours on the facades of buildings near the monument.
“What does that mean?”
(What does that mean?)
” still asks this young Dutch traveler when she discovers the few words painted in black on one of the walls of rue du Cloître Notre-Dame. About 1.50 m from the ground, and several times along the narrow pedestrian artery, the message “Caution: possible fall from balcony” is written, accompanied by the five Olympic rings and a finger pointing towards the sky.
