Ceremony in the Schwabhausen town hall: The community is now part of the Bavaria-wide “Listening Paths” project

Schwabhausen – “Nobody knows a place better than the people who live there.” A valuable statement that is reason enough for many communities to take part in the Bavaria-wide “Sounding Map” project with their own stories, stories and tips.

At a small ceremony, Mayor Wolfgang Hörl welcomed guests who have helped shape community life and have shown great commitment to ensuring that Schwabhausen has also developed various listening paths with special stories.

It is a Bavaria-wide project that is now very well received thanks to the initiative of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation, the Bavarian Adult Education Association (bvv), the “Listen” foundation and in cooperation with many volunteer “confidants”. Sometimes it is implemented as a radio play, sometimes an interview or a story that provides information about what would otherwise remain hidden. It is the brevity of the performances that makes a listening path so interesting, as you can learn a lot without having to read for a long time. Are there any buildings that should be remembered? Are there contemporary witnesses to events who would be interested in an interview?

There is a tab for the listening trails on the website www.klingende-landkarte.de, and Schwabhausen is now also included, along with many other places. “How does the wolf get into the coat of arms of Schwabhausen?” what interesting things can you find out about the Puchschläge church or the Stalingrad chapel? On the map displayed you have the option of clicking on the individual points of the audio paths with the mouse and listening to the audio guide. There is also information and information about who created the text and photos.

The sounding map is linked on the town hall's homepage and the “care table”, which is currently still in the foyer, also offers the opportunity to access this new offer. There will also soon be information boards on site that show a QR code that links you directly to the story.

If you have ideas or are interested in participating in this project and creating further listening paths, the chairwoman of the Vhs, Evi Richter, is available as a contact person. Mr
