A 22-year-old young man, with a small criminal record, was injured last night with two gunshots which hit him in the chest while he was in Piazza Unità d'Italia, in Sannicandro di Bari. The boy was rescued by 118 and transported to the Polyclinic, where he underwent surgery. The doctors reserved their prognosis.
The police have started investigations to trace those responsible and the motive for the ambush. According to some testimonies, the shooter was a person in a car, who then fled. The 22-year-old was standing near the war memorial, not far from a pizzeria, when he was hit by bullets.
