Guest appearances by influencers are not uncommon on “Das Traumschiff” – but they are often criticized as “untrained actors”. Nevertheless, Florian Silbereisen insisted on the appearance of an Internet star.
Phuket – Florian Silbereisen (42) has been in front of the camera as Captain Max Parger for “The Dream Ship” for several years now. He has already sailed to some dream destinations on the MS Amadea and welcomed some prominent guests on board. The appearances of social media stars are also increasing. The pop star personally stood up for an influencer and gave him a special role.
This is how Florian Silbereisen brought influencer Riccardo Simonetti on board the “dream ship”
A few weeks ago, ZDF announced the first details about the Easter episode of “Das Traumschiff”. It also came out that an influencer was there again. And this despite the fact that former stars repeatedly complain vehemently about the appearances of the network stars. Because they are not “real” actors, TV icon Katerina Jacob (66) shot against “The Dream Ship”. But Florian Silbereisen is apparently not deterred by this criticism - he campaigned for Riccardo Simonetti (31) to get a role.

“I wanted Riccardo for a very special role. At the ESC preliminary round last year we sat next to each other on the couch and I asked him if he would like to go on the 'dream ship',” the musician reveals

And the author obviously wanted to - because Riccardo Simonetti can be seen in the current episode, which is set in Thailand. “After that everything happened very quickly, and a short time later during filming I almost didn’t recognize him in his role at first,” Florian Silbereisen remembers the start of filming.

Why doesn't he recognize the internet star? This should be clear from a first look at photos from the episode: While Riccardo Simonetti usually goes for eye-catching looks in his private life, he is dressed quite casually as a veterinarian in an elephant rescue station. The 31-year-old even has a few things in common with his “dream ship” colleague. Florian Silbereisen states: “Like me, he comes from Bavaria. I once had hair just as long as him. And my suits used to be just as colorful as his.”

Even though he may not have as much experience as many other “Dream Ship” actors, Riccardo Simonetti prepared well for filming. Because a certain amount of know-how was of enormous importance, especially for the scenes with the elephants. Riccardo Simonetti even completed special training for “The Dream Ship”.
