What face would King Henry IV make if he knew what had become of the Château du Val - which now bears the name Maison du Val, managed by the brand Les Maisons de Campagne (Les Hôtels (very) Particuliers group? And the King Louis like the La Muette pavilion, which was built for François I... For a hotel group, being able to bring such a place to life is a godsend.

Egg hunt for young and old

Les Maisons de Campagne has managed this site since 2021. The idea is simple: to offer, a good half hour from Paris, a tailor-made rural disconnection experience. Sports and relaxation activities, yoga classes, dozens of games, Scandinavian baths... and a quality gastronomic and taste experience. And sometimes, thematic weekends. This is the case this Easter weekend, where Maison du Val is organizing not one, but two egg hunts.

“Easter weekend is a must for Country Houses. It reflects our brand: epicurean, family-friendly, and hyper gourmand,

explains

Matthieu Evrard, president of the Les Hôtels (Très) Particuliers group, to Le

Figaro .

Every year, we imagine it in such a way as to create beautiful moments of sharing and we make it a highlight in our Houses.”

On Sunday, the establishment unveils an exclusive collaboration with the Plaq chocolate factory - young Parisian artisan chocolatiers. The “treasure plaq” therefore takes place on Sunday at the beginning of the afternoon: an egg hunt revisited as an artistic performance, for children (from 12 years old) and adults. A visual and taste chocolate workshop to discover how chocolate is made, from the cocoa bean... to the plate!

Same Easter program at the Château de Villiers-le-Mahieu

Monday morning is devoted exclusively to children for a more traditional egg hunt in the park of the Maison du Val - classified as a historic monument in the early 1990s.

"This moment is also traditionally one of the first Spring weekends are an opportunity to rediscover the surrounding nature and enjoy our XXL gardens,”

adds Matthieu Evrard. “Our” gardens, since another Country House, in Villiers-le-Mahieu, enjoys an equally exceptional site... and a similar program for the Easter weekend!
