,” underlined the Minister of the Interior on the LCI news channel.
“That means that there are people who wanted to register to carry the flame, to be volunteers at the Olympic Games and who clearly did not have good intentions
,” continued Gérald Darmanin, specifying that among these people aside,
“there are radical Islamists”

The Olympic Games (July 26-August 11) and Paralympic Games (August 28-September 8) will mobilize nearly 45,000 internal security forces. The security of the events will be ensured by some 35,000 police officers and gendarmes on average per day throughout France (25,000 for the Paralympic Games). Added to this are at least 18,000 soldiers and between 18,000 and 22,000 private security agents daily.
