In Villeneuve, it's not just the cooking oil that catches fire, the rag is also burning between the residents of the Rotonde and their landlord. Almost two weeks after the fire which affected this emblematic building of the town, fed up and exasperation have structured the anger. At least seven tenants of hall 3 filed a complaint this Saturday against their social landlord, the company I3F. The procedure relates to “endangering the lives of others by a legal entity, immediate risk of death or disability through a clearly deliberate violation of a regulatory obligation of safety or prudence”.
In recent days, a team of employees from a specialized company has taken over the building, located a stone's throw from the town hall, just above the market which is currently being rebuilt. Safety shoes, full suits and protective mask on their faces, their ballet is not reassuring more than ten days after what could have turned into a tragedy.
