A response to Volodymyr Zelensky's repeated calls for help. This Saturday, in the columns of the newspaper La Tribune, the Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu announced the sending to Ukraine of “hundreds” of old but “still functional” French armored vehicles “for 2024 and early 2025”, as part of a new aid package to kyiv in its war against Russia.

: this is absolutely key for troop mobility,” argued the minister. In France, VABs, used since the 1970s, have been gradually replaced in recent years by a more recent armored model: the Griffon.
