He hardly hung around in Indianapolis. After a short night to celebrate the first NCAA title of the Arizona State Sun Devils — in which he largely participated with five titles (three individual and two in relays and three world records) — Léon Marchand was already on the plane at the dawn to return to its base in Tempe, in the suburbs of Phoenix. And leave with a smile on your face and a light spirit towards new adventures.
“It’s a good page for the tour,” he said on Saturday evening while closing an IU Natatorium already in the dismantling phase. Starting this week, the five-time world champion will return to hard work in preparation for his first competition scheduled in San Antonio (Texas), from April 10 to 13.
