Archaeological investigations will begin after Easter on the B 2 between the junction of the St 2056 to Pähl and the junction of the WM 9 near Unterhirschberg.
Pähl - The entire construction site is located in an area with numerous archaeological monuments. In collaboration with the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation, an extensive investigation program was drawn up and publicly advertised.
The Augsburg company Archbau will now begin archaeological investigations. Known monument areas in the construction site are completely excavated, and search strips are created and examined in suspected areas. The work will be carried out in sections in order to be able to carry out further subsequent construction work, such as the laying of the high-pressure gas pipeline in the summer of 2024.
The duration of the work depends on possible finds. Initially, the entire year of 2024 and the first half of 2025 are scheduled for this. These archaeological investigations should not cause any significant disruption to road users.
At the same time, planning and tendering work for the further construction phases is starting in the building authority.
