After 20 years on “Sturm der Liebe”, Sepp Schauer is now talking about his future in the successful ARD format. He also reflects on influencers in acting.
Feldkirchen-Westerham – Sepp Schauer (74) has been an integral part of the ARD series “Sturm der Liebe” since the first episode. Even after almost two decades, he continues to be in front of the camera. In an interview with

the actor spoke about his private life and his future in the series.
Is Sepp Schauer really leaving “Sturm der Liebe”? Actor speaks plainly
While many of his peers have already retired, Sepp Schauer commented on speculation about his possible departure from the successful format. Despite the challenges and effort that comes with producing a series, Schauer is positive about the future. He sees no reason to say goodbye any time soon, as long as his health and enjoyment of his work continue.
In the conversation, Schauer reflected on the changes and constants in his acting career as well as on the secret of success of the married couple Alfons and Hildegard Sonnbichler, whom he embodies together with Antje Hagen (85) in “Sturm der Liebe”. In his private life, Schauer has a long-term relationship with his wife, with whom he is currently successfully mastering the seventh year of marriage.

In addition to his views on the partnership, Schauer also commented on the current trend of casting influencers in series instead of trained actors. The “Storm of Love” star finds it almost impossible to hire someone who has no camera experience. Schauer also emphasized the importance of talent, explaining that “many productions today care about how many followers you have on Instagram.”

Looking back on his career, Schauer is grateful. Especially for the opportunity to play a major leading role in “Sturm der Liebe”. He appreciates the variety that comes with his role and occasional appearances on stage. His “Sturm der Liebe” colleague Antje Hagen also recently spoke of a possible end to the series.
