Ariel Henry is still Prime Minister of Haiti. The agreement reached at the Caricom (Caribbean Community) summit in Jamaica on March 11 provided for the appointment of a Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) and the departure of Ariel Henry. The summit brought together representatives of Haitian political parties and civil society in the presence of representatives of the United States, Canada, France, Brazil, Mexico, Germany and Caricom countries. The participants in this summit had obtained that Ariel Henry announced on March 11 that he was resigning from his post.
But he specified that his resignation would be effective after the formation of the Presidential Transitional Council, which he would validate by publishing a decree in the official journal,
