The Bayou affair continues to create a stir within Environmentalists. The Paris MP, withdrawn from his parliamentary group, is the target of a complaint, filed three weeks ago, by Anaïs Leleux, his former partner, for moral harassment and abuse of weakness. In the process, Julien Bayou announced in a press release that he was withdrawing from his party and his group in the National Assembly, in order to be able to defend himself.
However, his parliamentary group, which voted on his case last week, did not suspend him. According to the internal regulations, a qualified majority of 60% of the group's workforce was necessary to officially suspend the Paris deputy. It was not reached during the ballot. This was particularly regretted by EELV MP Sandrine Rousseau. “I would have liked the group to assert a feminist political line,” she said.
