Not because of calm: Autoposer really let it rip on Friday. The police were in constant use: converted cars were towed away and evictions were issued. A balance sheet.

On Good Friday the church bells remain silent, music and dancing are not allowed: the suffering and death of Christ is commemorated in silence. What is self-evident for many people in Bavaria does not apply at all to the autoposer scene. It's really turning up on this date. Under the motto Car Friday, the accelerator junkies twist the wording of the holiday and make it theirs. The police in Munich and the surrounding area have experienced what this means: a lot of trouble with car posers. The presence of the Munich, Upper Bavaria North and South presidiums as well as the riot police was correspondingly large. At peak times, up to 180 officers ensured order in parking lots in the city, in Unterföhring, Garching, Kolbermoor and Erding. There were up to 100 vehicles there, which meant there were a correspondingly large number of spectators. The result: The checks involved 3,000 people and a total of 1,000 cars. 120 violations were reported and 360 expulsions were necessary. Full Throttle Car Friday also includes instructions and road closures. “These meetings are predominantly non-approvable events at which many traffic violations are committed, sometimes with very high risk potential,” says the executive committee. Many of the cars are also tuned and converted.

Technical tests necessary

This applies, for example, to the very loud Mercedes of a 27-year-old that the police checked on Maria-Probst-Straße that evening. It turned out that the car's exhaust system had been illegally tinkered with in order to be able to show off better. The police immediately seized the limousine for technical inspection. A BMW that had come to the attention of the police around 1 a.m. in Ludwigsvorstadt also had to be towed away. This car had neither the chassis nor the tires nor the lighting. Changes that, according to the police, can lead to the expiration of the operating license. So the posing has come to an end for a 21-year-old from Bautzen.
