Strong gusts brought down trees in several places on Easter Monday. The fire brigades were deployed in the Sylvensteinsee, Walchensee and Kochelsee areas.

- Strong winds caused several fire brigade operations and slight traffic restrictions in the southern district on the morning of Easter Monday.
Road closures due to fallen trees
According to police, there were brief road closures around 9 a.m. due to fallen trees. The B13 between Lenggries-Hohenwiesen and Sylvensteinsee as well as the state road between Dingebach and Urfeld am Walchensee were affected. The fire brigade and road maintenance department removed the trees so that the roads were clear again after a short time.

The Schlehdorf fire department reported operations on its Facebook page shortly after 7 a.m. on Monday. The volunteers were therefore called to several fallen trees. The telephone line was also damaged as a result. The emergency services also had to secure the roof of the fire station on Kocheler Strasse because it was in danger of blowing away.
Four fire brigade missions due to storm
At the request of our newspaper, Stefan Kießkalt, spokesman for the district fire inspection, reported four operations between 6:22 a.m. and 8:46 a.m. due to the storm. According to him, the locations for the Winkl and Schlehdorf fire departments - each due to fallen trees on the road - were between Walchensee and Urfeld, between Raut and Schlehdorf and between Anger and Lenggries.
