The most optimistic were already imagining a duel at the summit, a battle in the sky of La Défense with the Hermitage towers on one side and the Sisters towers on the other. But ten years later, the business district is still waiting for a match which will probably never take place, due to a lack of duelists.
The ambitious Hermitage Plaza seems set to never dominate the business district. And the Sisters Towers could well meet the same fate. The project, the first sketches of which were revealed by Unibail Rodamco in 2015, is no longer among the priorities of the listed real estate company. In other words, the titanic project, estimated at some 630 million euros, has been postponed “sine die”.
