Two Bedouin youths from the Lakia council in the south were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old minor from the north. A few days ago Sherif Gaffin, a 24-year-old man, was accused of raping a 63-year-old woman in a public park in Holon. According to the indictment, Gaffin attacked the woman while running in the park, and violently raped her. The incident happened early in the morning on a Saturday at the beginning of the month, when the woman went for a run in the "Pillbox" public park in Holon. When the woman stopped in the middle of the road, Gaffin pounced on her, hid her eyes with his arm and began to strangle her. In response, she tried to free herself from his grip and begged him to stop, but he did not let her go, and violently raped her.
