Fatal accident on Tegelberg near Schwangau: 31-year-old dies - no evidence of foul play

According to the police, the accident victim was discovered below the Tegelbergbahn lift route late on Good Friday afternoon. However, due to the strong wind, the difficult terrain and the falling night, the site could not be reached on Friday either by rescue helicopter or on foot.

Even on Holy Saturday, the wind was still too strong for a police helicopter to be deployed on site, so the rescue was ultimately carried out on the ground and with the help of the Tegelbergbahn.

Eight men from the Füssen mountain rescue service, two men from the Kaufbeuren mountain rescue service and six officers from the Alpine Police Task Force, who also took over the investigation, were on duty.

However, there is currently no evidence of foul play.
