“Is there such a thing as a mother queen? With a crown? Who are the friends of bees? » Sitting on small benches, facing the blackboard where all these questions appear, the children of the nursery class at the Mistral school in Carrières-sous-Poissy (Yvelines), try to answer them with the help of their teacher Agnes. After a few explanations, they return to their table and try to solve these puzzles. And the answers come forth with a chosen vocabulary.
And for good reason, these little schoolchildren are participating in the “Little Scientists of Mistral” project, set up a few months ago by the establishment as part of the National Council for the Refoundation (CNR) of Education “Our school, let’s la ensemble”, launched in the fall of 2022. This approach encourages education stakeholders to rely on local consultations to build tailor-made projects as close as possible to students.
