The decision is perfect: Werder Bremen will lose a coveted homegrown player for free after this season.
Bremen - Striker Nick Woltemade will leave Bundesliga club Werder Bremen after this season. The 22-year-old announced this on Instagram on Tuesday. "I have made a decision. “The time has come, also thanks to my experience with Elversberg, to take on a new sporting and personal challenge from the summer,” wrote the U21 national player.
According to information from the TV channel Sky, Woltemade will move to VfB Stuttgart after this season. However, there is no official confirmation of this. Woltemade's contract with Bremen expires on June 30th.
The Bremen-born attacker moved to Werder's youth department in 2010. Last season he played on loan for SV Elversberg with great success. “The beautiful moments in the Werder jersey, the club, the city and, above all, you will always be remembered positively by me as a Bremen youth,” wrote Woltemade to the fans. dpa
