All you have to do is sit on the huge terrace upstairs at the France center in Marseille to take in the full measure of the Roucas-Blanc nautical stadium. The body of water, where the Paris 2024 Olympic games will take place, stretches out, while a little further on we can see the swimming pool of the nhow hotel, the future athletes' village, and the Frioul islands. The setting, with turquoise waters and often bathed in the sun, is idyllic. The French now know it in every nook and cranny. The France pole already existed when, in 2017, the Paris-Marseille axis was drawn on the map of competition sites. The Olympics gave it an unexpected facelift.
In February 2023, the containers and old changing rooms gave way to a white building of 3,000 m2 (more than double the former high-level center). Inside in particular, meeting rooms, technical hangars dedicated to preparing boats (it is now no longer necessary to dismast to bring them in, which saves considerable time in terms of preparation), a 200 m2 physical preparation room, a recovery area with cryotherapy and hot bath, a medical service (including three physiotherapy stations).
