You are just a “victim” of “mind-wandering”, in other words wandering of thoughts.

“Sometimes having your head in the clouds is the norm and not the exception in reality. During these moments of attention drift, thoughts float aimlessly, associating ideas in unstable ways and sometimes lacking any apparent logic. This state can be either spontaneous, as when you read without understanding, or intentional, when you mentally plan your vacation instead of concentrating on a task to complete or your boss's speech during a meeting,” explains Franck Biétry, university professor in human resources management at the University of Caen Normandy.
