"Evil must find a way to become good, and a terrible and tragic thing like what happened to Chiara must become a reason to help young people find themselves and learn to love themselves." With these words the Archbishop of Bologna, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, inaugurated this morning in Crespellano, in the Bologna area, the youth cultural center named after Chiara Gualzetti, the 15-year-old killed on 27 June 2021 in Monteveglio by what she thought was a friend, a boy slightly older than her, a minor at the time. The structure, in Piazza della Pace, will be a point of reference and aggregation against violence, cyberbullying and indifference, through training courses of various kinds, also to defend oneself from the dangers of the web, and to promote a culture of I listen. The children will not be able to bring cell phones inside, as Chiara's father emphasized several times during the planning.

"I hope that this center fulfills its function for young people who intend to change the socialization system a little - said Vincenzo Gualzetti speaking at the inauguration - the intention is to give young people some more value compared to the virtual world in which many live, and which brings a lot of lack of affection". The father of the 15-year-old girl who was killed added that he appreciated the solidarity of the Valsamoggia community: "Three years later, something is still being done in the name of my daughter, this shows that people don't forget."

The inauguration of the center in Crespellano was attended by, in addition to the archbishop of Bologna, several representatives of the institutions and associations and the regional councilor Raffaele Donini, very attached to that area and former mayor of Monteveglio from 1995 to 2004.
