A driver overlooks a 22-year-old motorcyclist from Rosenheim at Sylvensteinsee
Lenggries – The first accident occurred on Friday afternoon around 1:50 p.m. According to the police, a 23-year-old from Rosenheim wanted to drive her Skoda from a parking lot on the B307 between the Sylvenstein dam and the Faller Bridge onto the road in the direction of the dam. She overlooked a 22-year-old from Rosenheim who was traveling on the B 307 towards the bridge.
The young man crashed his Yamaha into the front fender of the Skoda and was thrown over the hood onto the road. He suffered a fracture in his lower leg and was flown by rescue helicopter to the Murnau Accident Hospital.
The motorcycle was no longer drivable and was towed from the scene of the accident. The police estimate that property damage totaled around 8,000 euros. The Fall volunteer fire department was on site with two vehicles to secure the scene of the accident and clean the road.
While the patrol and fire department were waiting for the motorcycle to be towed, a report was received about another accident involving two motorcycles at Sylvenstein.
Rear-end collision on the B 307: Two motorcycles crash into a flatbed truck
At around 2:55 p.m., a 28-year-old from Holzkirchen and a 30-year-old from Rottach-Egern drove their motorcycles on the B 307 from the Sylvenstein dam towards Kaiserwacht (border). A 36-year-old from Achenkirch was driving his Mercedes flatbed truck in front of the two cyclists.
When the Mercedes driver had to brake because a vehicle in front of him wanted to turn off the main road into a parking lot, the two motorcyclists were unable to stop in time and crashed into the flatbed truck. As the police further reported, the two men were taken to the hospital by ambulance with injuries to their pelvis and thigh.
According to the police, the two motorcycles suffered material damage totaling 4,000 euros. They were no longer drivable and also had to be towed away. There was only minor damage to the flatbed truck amounting to around 500 euros. The Fall volunteer fire department was also on duty with two vehicles during this accident.
