Update from April 2nd, 2024, 11:45 a.m.:

Stefan Raab (57) announced on April 1st that he wanted to return after a 10-year TV break for another fight against Regina Halmich (44). Many of the fans had hope, but thought the whole thing was an April Fool's joke. A day later, however, the whole thing turns out not to be a prank, but rather takes more and more shape.

After Regina Halmich had already confirmed that she would accept the challenge and want to box with Stefan Raab again, her management now also spoke up at

- and actually: "There will be this fight," confirm Regina Halmich's representatives. She faced the entertainer in the ring in 2001 and 2007, and Raab took a lot of punishment.

Update from April 2, 2024, 10:30 a.m.:

The events surrounding the supposed return of Stefan Raab (57) are coming to a head. First, the entertainer, who withdrew from the public eye in 2015, announced an influencer comeback if he reached nine million followers in three days. When this plan failed, he instead announced that he wanted to get into the ring again with Regina Halmich (47) on September 14th - and she is now reacting promptly to the plan.

Ticket sales for the boxing match between Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich are scheduled to start on April 2nd at 3 p.m. However, fans still don't trust the whole thing and believe it's an April Fool's joke on the part of the former moderator. But now Halmich also spoke up on Instagram. “First the bad news: Stefan will come back if I fight him. And now comes the good news: I have it on September 14th. nothing better yet. We have a fight! Challenge accepted,” writes the boxing legend.

Update from April 1, 2024:

Cologne – Stefan Raab (57) wanted to mobilize a total of nine million followers so that a possible comeback could become a reality (we reported). The entertainer missed this mark - and still contacted his fans with another video on Monday (April 1st). In this one you can see the seascape familiar from the previous clip again.

The video shows how Elton (52) tells the TV legend, who can only be seen from behind in the video except for the last few seconds, that they have not reached the goal. But they were “close”. “Yes, it's almost over, I'm not doing anything anymore,” says Raab, not very motivated. But Elton doesn't let up: "One score is still unfinished: Regina Halmich," he reports, alluding to the "TV total" fight that the entertainer once fought against the former boxing world champion - and lost mercilessly.

Now it seems that a rematch will take place on September 14th, as announced in the video. This sparks enthusiasm: “Woah cool!!! When THE fight comes, I'll be the number girl," enthuses TV star Evelyn Burdecki (35) in the comments. But some people have (possibly) already smelled the roast: The release date may not be entirely coincidental on April 1st, which is known for such pranks. Nevertheless, at the end of the clip it is announced that ticket sales will start the next day - that could then clear things up.

Stefan Raab breaks the two million follower mark on Instagram

Update from March 30, 2024:

Many fans have been waiting for years to see Stefan Raab on television again - but so far he hasn't shown up. A video that he published on social media is now raising new hopes and sparking speculation that he will make a comeback soon. The bubbling rumor mill and an announcement of a return to nine million followers is already leading to a huge success on

Instagram

. Because the entertainer achieved considerable reach there within just a few hours. He actually only had 189,000 followers - one day later he already cracked the two million mark.

Although he doesn't follow a single person himself, he now has 2.3 million followers (as of March 30, 1:30 p.m.). With just two posts on his site, that's a lot. Influencer Pamela Reif (27) is also spreading the word and calling on fans to follow. “Well, what are you waiting for – FOLLGEEEEN!” she writes under the video on Stefan Raab’s website. And further: “Steal your family’s cell phones and take happiness into your own hands, that’s what Easter is for this year.”

First report from March 29, 2024:

Stefan Raab withdrew from the public in 2015 - and quite consistently. Although the entertainer still works behind the camera, he has given up his successful shows such as “TV Total” and “Schlag den Raab”. But now the surprise: Stefan Raab reports on social media with an unexpected clip.

After years of radio silence: Stefan Raab logs on to Instagram and teases a comeback

Stefan Raab has repeatedly caused speculation since his retirement. But now he's personally taking the whole thing to the extreme. Raab and his eternal show intern Elton posted a cryptic video via Instagram. Stefan Raab's voice can be heard clearly and clearly, singing: "I'm hanging out here by the lake." He isn't visible at first - but Elton is, who goes to see Raab on an island. “You’re just skin and bones. Everyone is looking for you. You've been gone for almost 10 years now. It’s time for you to do something again,” suggests the moderator. “I'll do something,” says Raab and points to his fishing rod.

After a short exchange of blows with Elton, Stefan Raab finally embarks on a possible new career path: He wants to become an influencer and demands followers. “Watch out, Elton. When I have 9 million, I promise you, I’ll do something again,” announces Raab. The 52-year-old now has three days to do this. That's why Elton asks for help on his Instagram profile to "make TV history": "I need your help! @therealstefanraab wants to…um…need to do something again when he gets 9 million followers.”

“Brilliant move”: Fans celebrate Stefan Raab’s video – but are skeptical

The followers are freaking out after this news - but they are also skeptical. After all, the timing is suspicious. The deadline for Stefan Raab would be April 1st. “In 3 days, on April 1st, Stefan Raab will become an influencer? haha But still cool to hear something from Raab again,” writes a fan. “Such a brilliant move. Still as clever as before!” laughs another.

Others believe the story is inspired by Easter. “Reminds me a bit of the resurrection of Jesus. Posting on Good Friday and then being ‘resurrected on the third day’ for three days,” writes one user. Reality star Evelyn Burdecki (35), on the other hand, is convinced: “You can do it in 2 days!”

Despite his withdrawal from the public eye, Stefan Raab worked successfully with the production company brainpool for 25 years. But here too there were big changes last year: Raab ended the long-standing collaboration.
