This has never happened before at the Point discotheque in Gilching: the first over-50s party ever will take place there on Saturday, April 13th. The fun is organized by three dance-loving friends from the Bruck region.

Gilching

– Over 30 parties are nothing special these days. But over 50? When Ursula Zimmermann came up with this idea, she didn't have to persuade her friends Patricia and Bogdan Kramliczek. With Gerlinde Vogl, who has run the Gilching discotheque “Point” (Carl-Benz-Straße 13) for 40 years, the three of them quickly agreed: On Saturday, April 13th, the big over-50s party starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are on sale in advance already started.

Ursula Zimmerman and the Kramliczek couple have known each other for many years; they are colleagues at a large media company in Munich and live in Eichenau and Adelshofen near Jesenwang. Bogdan Kramliczek grew up in Fürstenfeldbruck, where he was already a DJ in the “Edi-Bar 1”, a very popular party location at the time. “Then came my wife, career and moving,” he says. Recently, however, he DJed at a ladies night in Nassenhausen. “It was totally successful,” says the 54-year-old happily. Since then he has been booked again and again, for parties, weddings and events. “I obviously haven’t forgotten how to do it, I just need more sleep afterwards,” he jokes. It is therefore completely clear that Kramliczek will also be at the podium on April 13th.

Ursula Zimmermann can regularly be found on the dance floor in Munich with a dance group. “For people over 50, there are just a few opportunities to dance,” she says. The demand is huge. “So we asked ourselves, what can we do, and first looked for a location.” Halls or multi-purpose halls were quickly ruled out, but then the organizers came across the “Point” in Gilching – and Gerlinde Vogl opened doors.

Incidentally, the three of them want to be fairly strict about the age statement. That means Ursula Zimmermann's daughters, 20 and 21 years old, have to think about a different program that evening. The husband comes along and numerous friends and colleagues, including some who are just under 50. If the party goes successfully, the three are already planning a follow-up event, also at the “Point,” as Bogdan Kramliczek reports. However, it is also conceivable for him to offer such events in a wider area: “We have inquiries from people from Nuremberg, Passau and so on: Everyone says, please do the same with us.”

Now the party starts at the “Point”. It starts at 7:30 p.m., depending on the mood, the music starts at around 8:30 p.m. The playlist includes hits from the 80s and 90s, “none from the 70s, except for ABBA”. Then there are rock classics, remixes, and also current chart breakers. “We don’t know the audience, as a DJ you only decide a lot of things that evening, the list isn’t set in stone yet,” reveals DJ Bogdan.

So far the reactions to the party have been overwhelmingly positive. Tickets are available in advance for 12 euros at www.eventim-light.com/de/a/65c0f59b15780637df26be76. And it’s already going “like a bomb,” says Bogdan Kramliczek happily.
