At the beginning of April it should be 25 degrees warm in Franconia, from then on one day is considered a summer day. But an expert predicts Sahara dust again.
Nuremberg - April began in Bavaria with numerous weather warnings. The DWD warned of hurricane gusts on the edge of the Alps, and of wind and storm gusts in the rest of Bavaria - including Franconia. But then the weather changes! The first day of summer is expected in Munich this weekend. And in Franconia?

Weather in Bavaria: Temperatures in Franconia rise to 21 degrees on Friday
First of all, on Wednesday, April 3rd, and Thursday, “mild, moist air masses will flow to us with gusts of strong to stormy southwest winds.” This is what weather expert Stefan Ochs (
wetterochs.de
) reports in his forecast for the Regnitz region. The temperatures are 12 to 13 degrees. On Friday the clouds are clearing up, the sun is shining and there is no longer any sign of rain. The thermometer is already climbing to 21 degrees.

This is what the weather will be like in Franconia: summer and 25 degrees at the beginning of April
“Sunny, dry and 25 degrees warm on Saturday? At least that’s how the weather models imagine it,” reports Ochs in his forecast for Franconia. The sun should actually shine unclouded until the early afternoon, “so that the high temperatures can actually be reached.” As the afternoon progresses, Ochs expects Sahara dust to return - and thus cloudy weather.
Expert predicts Sahara dust in Franconia
There will also be no precipitation on Sunday and Monday, although there will still be a lot of Saharan dust in the air. This means that the sun will only be visible temporarily. “When the sun comes out at midday, it will be more than 20 degrees. Otherwise, we will probably stay a little below 20 degrees,” said the expert.
