There are now 120 Russian billionaires to appear in Forbes magazine's annual ranking, compared to 105 last year. Despite two years of war in Ukraine and economic sanctions against it, Russia completes the top 5 countries with the most billionaires, behind Germany, India, China and the United States.
The collective fortune of these ultra-rich Russians amounts to 577 billion dollars, or 72 more than the previous year. Before the war, as of 2021, Forbes estimated their total wealth at $606 billion.
