Mammendorf – New prices will apply to the youth campsite in Mammendorf from 2025.
On the homepage of the Mammendorf leisure park, guests of the youth campsite will find the corresponding price list during April 2024, which will be valid from next year. This is not a price increase in the actual sense, but rather the respective sales tax is added.
Old regulation can still be used until December 31, 2024
This is because federal legislation has created a new regulation that is based on Article 13 of the EU VAT System Directives. Corporations under public law must now generally be treated as companies. This systematically represents a big difference to the old law, where corporations were generally not considered companies, but only in exceptional cases, as the district office reports. However, until December 31st, public corporations can still circumvent this regulation and use the old law.
Establishment of youth welfare
The reform of sales tax law means a lot of work for public corporations. All income must be recorded and analyzed. All contracts must be checked and changed if necessary. Other areas with future sales tax burdens include staffing, services provided by the construction yard such as winter service and mowing work for other municipalities, respiratory protection workshops and many more. If the sales tax were not charged additionally, the financial burden would remain with the district. According to the Social Code, the youth campsite is a youth welfare facility, which means that occupancy by youth groups is exempt from sales tax. Other occupancies, such as those by families, will be subject to sales tax and tax from 2025.
