OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Microsoft have imagined five phases of this journey and are in the third phase. The major costs of the operation are concentrated in the two subsequent phases which involve the acquisition of the necessary artificial intelligence chips. AI chips are sold at high prices. The technology company Nvidia explained to CNBC in March that its latest artificial intelligence chip called Blackwell B200 will be priced between $30,000 and $40,000.
