Crime rose by 3.4 percent in North Rhine-Westphalia last year. A total of 1.4 million crimes were registered, said North Rhine-Westphalia Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) on Wednesday in Düsseldorf. At the same time, the clearance rate has also climbed to its best level in 60 years. In addition, the increase in crimes was more moderate than in many other federal states.
