A tunnel being formed was accidentally discovered this Tuesday morning in Paris near the Santé prison,
Le Figaro
learned from a police source this Wednesday, confirming information from the Actu17 site. This same source nevertheless tells us that it is
“a little hasty”
to assert that this underground passage was intended to reach the prison.
The discovery was made shortly before midday by an Enedis technician who was working
“in a well for electrical connections”
at 93 rue de la Santé, located 450 meters from the prison center. The agent noted
“the presence of bags filled with rubble as well as a bed”
, according to a police source at AFP.
The work, artisanal, already extended over several dozen meters, up to the corner of Boulevard Auguste-Blanqui. His access was immediately condemned by the Paris town hall services. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the 14th arrondissement police station.
