He thus found himself on the set of the controversial host only a few weeks after having questioned him at the National Assembly, during a hearing which caused a lot of noise in the press and social networks. The political class, particularly on the left, criticizes the 30-year-old MP for having
“discredited his role”
and “
damaged the image of Parliament”
to make himself known.

The elected Macronist notably tackled on the air Yann Barthès, who hosts the talk show
“Quotidien”
on a competing channel, who was also interviewed as part of the parliamentary commission of inquiry.

,” confided Quentin Bataillon. The television sequence was taken up on social networks and viewed nearly 4 million times.

The mayor of Paris and last socialist candidate in the presidential election, Anne Hidalgo, issued a press release Wednesday morning to demand the resignation of Quentin Bataillon from the commission of inquiry

“The interview (...) is a real scandal. Yes, democracy is in danger when the president of a commission of inquiry on TNT goes on the set of a television program with a convicted repeat offender host, to directly attack another host and the rapporteur of its own commission
,” declares Anne Hidalgo.
LFI deputy Aurélien Saintoul, rapporteur of this commission of inquiry initiated by his parliamentary group, was also targeted by Quentin Bataillon on Cyril Hanouna's set. The Macronist estimated that the report that Aurélien Saintoul wrote following the hearings
“will be marked”
, inviting him to
“get out of the witch hunt, the hunt for presenters, journalists, channels”
. And to add, speaking to Cyril Hanouna, that
“sometimes, the contempt that some people may have for your show is transferred to those who watch it”
. The host and his columnists were indignant at the attitude of the rebellious MP a few hours after his hearing and had also welcomed the attitude of President Quentin Bataillon.
MP Aurélien Saintoul joked on X about the television outing of his Macronist colleague:
