Holidays in a monument could soon be possible in Zankenhausen. The Milchhäusl is to be converted into a holiday home.
Zankenhausen - The listed former milk collection point on Pleitmannswanger Straße is a small plastered building with an elevated basement and canopy. The opposite staircase in front of the entrance is particularly striking. According to the Bavarian list of monuments, the building was built around 1920.
Towing dormer
The applicants would like to build a dormer window and an extension on the southwest side to accommodate a kitchen and dining area. This would increase the total area to a good 100 square meters. There will be two parking spaces on the property on the northeast side.
Sensible
The project is expressly welcomed in the Türkenfeld town hall. This means that a sensible subsequent use has been found for the listed building, which would otherwise be left to decay. The local council unanimously approved the renovation plans. Further checks must now be carried out by the district office.
