In November 2023, Heino had to cope with the death of his Hannelore, and now the pop star is celebrating their wedding anniversary alone for the first time.
Kitzbühel – For Heino (85), April 4th, his wedding anniversary with Hannelore (†81), brings with it very beautiful but also painful memories. Because his wife passed away in November 2023, the pop favorite has to spend this anniversary, which now seems sad in view of his loss, without his great love for the first time.
Heino celebrates his first wedding anniversary without his Hannelore
After more than 50 years together, the “Blue Blooms the Gentian” interpreter had to bury his Hannelore - a difficult loss that the 85-year-old will probably never fully come to terms with. “It looks dark in my heart,” Heino revealed in an
RTL
interview in February. He was “not doing so well” and said he was still badly affected at the Vienna Opera Ball.
The pop star misses his Hannelore every day: “When I go to bed at night, I feel lonely.” But Heino carries on. For the 45th wedding anniversary, which he is celebrating on Thursday (April 4th), the singer has come up with something very special: 45 roses will decorate his wife's grave - one for each year of marriage. At her funeral, he said goodbye to his loved one with 44 correspondingly meaningful roses.
At Hannelore's grave, Heino draws new strength
At her grave, the folk musician draws new strength and feels closer to his Hannelore than anywhere else. Heino is firmly convinced that his loved one is now in a different, better place - and that the two of them will be reunited there at some point.

By the way, many friends and acquaintances supported the Düsseldorf-born musician during this difficult time: Heino does not have to live alone after Hannelore's death.
