A traffic accident with two injuries and extensive property damage occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the Tölzer bypass road.
Gaißach/Bad Tölz - According to the police, an 85-year-old from Lenggries drove his VW Golf on the B472 towards Flinthöhe around 12 p.m. When turning left onto Gaißacher Straße, he overlooked an oncoming Hyundai that had the right of way. The 53-year-old from Waakirchen, who was driving, was no longer able to avoid the collision. The car collided with the right side of the Golf.

Both vehicles are no longer drivable
Both drivers were injured in the accident and had to be taken to hospital. Both the VW and the Hyundai were no longer drivable and had to be towed away. The police estimate the damage at 19,000 euros.
Fire brigade supports rescue service
In addition to the police and emergency services, the Tölz fire department also responded. Since none of those involved were trapped in the vehicle, the emergency services were supported in caring for the patients until the second ambulance arrived on site. Other emergency services regulated traffic.
